PLAYER SPOTLIGHT
ANDREY RUBLEV: THE HEART OF MODERN TENNIS

"I just try to be myself. That's it."
Few players capture the soul of the sport quite like Andrey Rublev. Exceptionally gifted and a tireless worker, his numbers speak entirely for themselves: multiple Masters 1000 titles, a career-high ranking inside the world's top five and 223 weeks inside the Top 10. He recently reached 400 ATP wins and counting. Surely, a career any player would envy and one that has kept him among the game's elite. Yet, to look only at the statistics is to miss the extraordinary human being behind the racquet. Off the court, Andrey has a reputation for being one of the warmest and most genuine personalities on tour, with a huge following among fans and fellow players. Whether he is quietly pouring his energy into charitable causes or turning heads with his effortless, unpretentious sense of fashion, he carries himself with a rare humility. Paradoxically, this gentle nature contrasts with the fiery perfectionist who wages an intense battle within himself on the court. Known for wearing his heart on his sleeve, Andrey battles immense self-imposed pressure, fighting fiercely against his own high standards during the sport's most gruelling moments. While he shares a close bond with his best friends, Daniil Medvedev and Alexander Zverev, a lingering barrier remains: unlike them, Andrey is still chasing that elusive Grand Slam title. That ultimate breakthrough has not yet arrived, but his relentless dedication means the story is far from finished. Regardless of what the future brings, watching him is always a gift, both on and off the court.

KOREA OPEN: THE SOUL OF THE TOUR

"Everything about it. It was amazing!"
The Korea Open has a rather lovely trick: it gives you WTA tennis in the middle of Seoul without making the tennis feel swallowed up by the city. The tournament takes place at the Olympic Park Tennis Center, surrounded by the enormous Olympic Park complex. So you get the energy of one of the world's great cities, but once you're inside the grounds, things feel considerably more relaxed. There is history here too. The Korea Open has been part of the WTA calendar for years, and Seoul has become a regular stop for players on the Asian swing. It is not trying to be the biggest tournament on earth. And that's rather the point.
